Refunds, Cancellations & Printing Policy
At The Lakendra Edit, each product and design service is created with care and intention. Because of the digital and custom nature of our products and services, please review the following policy carefully before placing an order or booking a design service.
Digital Products
Due to the nature of digital products, all sales of digital downloads, templates, and other digital items are final.
Digital products are non-refundable, non-returnable, and non-exchangeable once purchased or delivered.
Customers are responsible for reviewing the product description and ensuring that a product meets their needs before completing their purchase.
Custom Design Services
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your project and begin the design process.
The deposit reserves your place in The Lakendra Edit’s design schedule and covers the initial time, planning, creative direction, and work completed for your project. For this reason, deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances.
The remaining balance is due according to the payment schedule provided for your project. Final files, products, and/or materials will not be delivered until all outstanding balances have been paid in full.
Cancellations
You may choose to cancel your custom design project at any time. However, all payments made toward completed work, including the initial non-refundable deposit, will not be refunded.
If a project is canceled after work has begun, The Lakendra Edit reserves the right to invoice the client for any additional work completed, expenses incurred, or materials purchased beyond the amount already paid.
Once a project has been completed or final files have been delivered, no refunds will be issued.
Client Abandonment or Inactive Projects
Your project requires timely communication, feedback, approvals, and the submission of requested content.
If a client becomes unresponsive or fails to provide the necessary information, content, approvals, or feedback required to continue the project, the project may be placed on hold.
Projects that remain inactive for 30 days due to client non-response may be considered abandoned and closed at The Lakendra Edit’s discretion.
Payments already made, including the non-refundable deposit and payment for work already completed, will not be refunded.
If you wish to resume a closed or abandoned project, a new project timeline, availability, and/or reactivation fee may apply.
Client-Provided Content
Clients are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and final content for their project, unless copywriting or content creation has been specifically included as part of their service.
The Lakendra Edit is not responsible for delays caused by missing, incomplete, inaccurate, or late client-provided information.
Clients are responsible for carefully reviewing all proofs before providing final approval. Once final approval has been given, the client is responsible for any errors, including but not limited to spelling, grammar, dates, times, names, addresses, and other submitted information.
Changes requested after final approval may be subject to additional design fees, reprinting costs, and production delays.
Printed Products
When printing is included as part of your order, design and printing are two separate stages of the production process.
All designs must receive final client approval before being submitted to print.
Once a design has been approved and submitted to production, the order cannot be canceled, changed, or refunded, as printing and production costs are incurred immediately.
The client is responsible for reviewing and approving all proofs before printing begins.
Printing Errors and Defects
The Lakendra Edit takes great care in preparing designs for print. However, if a printed order arrives with a production defect, damage, or error that differs significantly from the approved proof, the issue must be reported within 7 days of delivery.
To report a printing issue, the client may be required to provide clear photographs and other relevant information so the issue can be reviewed.
If an issue is determined to be the result of a printing or production error, The Lakendra Edit will work with the applicable print provider to determine an appropriate resolution. Depending on the circumstances, this may include a reprint, replacement, store credit, or other resolution.
Refunds are not guaranteed for printing or production issues and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Errors in Approved Designs
The Lakendra Edit is not responsible for errors that were present in a proof approved by the client.
If an approved design contains an error and has already been submitted to print, the client will be responsible for any additional design, printing, shipping, or production costs required to correct and reprint the order.
Shipping and Delivery
Once a completed printed order has been shipped, The Lakendra Edit is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, incorrect addresses provided by the client, lost or stolen packages, weather, or other circumstances outside of our control.
Any delivery dates provided are estimates and are not guaranteed unless otherwise explicitly stated.
Refund Eligibility
Refunds, when applicable, are considered only in situations where The Lakendra Edit is unable to provide the agreed-upon product or service due to circumstances directly caused by The Lakendra Edit.
Refund requests do not apply to:
- Digital products that have been purchased or downloaded
- Non-refundable design deposits
- Completed design work
- Client cancellations after work has begun
- Client abandonment or lack of communication
- Errors present in client-approved proofs
- Orders already submitted to printing or production
- Changes in personal preference or changes of mind
- Delays caused by missing client information, approvals, or communication
- Shipping delays or issues outside of The Lakendra Edit’s control
